Friday: it was relatively cool outside. Not freezing enough for snow, but it definitely cooled down at night.
Saturday: left for Muncie, Indiana at 5am. It was still pretty chilly then, especially since there was an expected storm coming across the Midwest. At 10am (EXACTLY when MSU's first quidditch match was schedule for) it decided to start raining. Now, the pitch was already a mud pit, but this just added to the fun. It kept raining until 2pm that day, and the games had to be delayed and shortened because of thunder and lightning sightings. To put it into perspective, my tennis shoes were grey and blue when I arrived in Muncie, but they were pure brown when I left.
Ew. Mud.
I haven't been this muddy since I was five years old..
My wonderful team (or at least part of them).
Absolutely CAKED in mud.
So after getting all muddied up, Mother Nature decided to bring a warm front through to bump up the temperature to about 70 degrees! That's a huge difference from 35 degrees and cold rain in the morning of the same day. I can't say I've ever experienced such a drastic change in weather before in less than 24 hours. I mean, Michigan is pretty bad sometimes, but nothing like that. I DID find out later that night that I got a pretty sweet sunburn on my face and neck, which was only aided to by today's weather..
Sunday: Eighty degrees? Really, eighty degrees?! I'm pretty sure nobody got there homework done today, myself included. One of my friend's Facebook statuses from today said,"There is literally a beach party happening right outside my window. " He lives in South Complex with myself and we have the PERFECT courtyard for laying out on towels or playing frisbee, soccer, football, lacrosse, catch, and volleyball. It was simply so gorgeous oustide!
I really hope that this weather stays, (with a few intermittent storms, just to cool things down at night.) That would just be lovely to have for the rest of the semester.
